A NeoGAF user found some interesting financial data related to game revenue from a CD Projekt Red representative, who was answering questions from investors on their official corporate forum.
According to the rep, 70% of CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3 releases were on console, and while 25% of their sales were digital, half their revenue comes from that distribution.
As for marketing? The developer let distributors take care of it, as companies like Namco Bandai and Warner Bros. covered 80% of all marketing costs.
The figures did not include DLC or preorder sales.
