What is a city builder without its army of community modders? Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive have just published a new video developer diary with the team behind Cities: Skylines talking about all things ‘mod’.
The team look at the ”rich variety of modding tools” we can use in Cities: Skylines, to help flood the community with all-new creations, or even just some finer tweaks. It’s due out March 10th.
Many hopes lie with this new city builder, as the wider genre has been rather devoid of a large scale building sim that hasn’t been something of a let-down, or a technical nightmare. Colossal already have experience with their previous series Cities in Motion, but now they after the Mayor’s office.
An official modding guide is available through the Cities: Skylines Wiki for those ‘eager to start’.
Cities: Skylines releases on PC March 10th. It fully integrates Steam Workshop.
