Patch 2.3.0 has dropped for Diablo 3, bringing dedicated hack-and-slashers their next slice of frenzied looting. It adds a new zone, various new item and armour sets, and introduces a new set of challenges and unlockables in Season 4.
Blizzard has kindly summarised most of the new goodies in an extensive blog post here. I would just like to point out that one of the new Legendary-tier items you can hunt down is a tiny kitten for the Witch Doctor which causes opponents to pull their punches when attacking him for fear of hurting it. That’s a bit of gear I can get behind.
The studio has also released a quick guide video, which I’ve embedded below. Patch 2.3.0 should automatically download the next time you open the Battle.net launcher.
