Update 0.28a for Vostok Games’ post-apocalyptic shooter Survarium is now live, bringing big changes to the game’s faction system, and a new ‘Ranking Match’ game mode.
In this latest build the reputation required to unlock a rank in each specific faction has been increased, while each faction has also been given new beginner and maximum level items. Existing items have also been reshuffled between ranks, so some are purchasable earlier on while others have been shifted back.
The new Ranked mode is exactly what you’d expect it to be – winning matches here will increase your position in upcoming Ranked League seasons. The first of these, May Thunder, kicks off on April 29, and hitting the top spots will unlock unique weapons, such as a “premium sub-machine gun MP7A1 with different number of modifiers”.
There’s a huge amount of additional fixes and tweaks for everything from weapon balance to UI improvements, so make sure to check out the full list of patch notes.
Created by former employees of S.T.A.L.K.E.R studio GSC Game World, Survarium is still in open beta, and as of right now it only offers PvP multiplayer. An ambitious open world co-operative mode is coming in the near future.
