A tiny bit more of Paradox Interactive’s teaser campaign has exposed itself and this time we’re told ”terrain truly matters in this game,” which fits basically every grand strategy that Paradox Development Studio has worked on.
Reading a little more into though it might be referring to armies far more susceptible to terrain differences, like those in the ancient eras? Maybe. It’s definitely ”NOT a cold-war game” though.
Fingers are still pointing accusingly at a sequel to Europa Universalis: Rome, despite the studio having said this is a new IP. However launching the spin-off EU: Rome as a standalone property would make it a ‘new IP’. Will the portents remain good for legions on the march?
”It is NOT a cold-war game, as East vs West was supposed to be our cold-war game,” said Johan Andersson in a follow-up post.
Project Augustus will be revealing itself at Gamescom next week, and until then Paradox will be dripping weekday teases just like today’s Teaser #4, and yesterday’s references to pigs.
