Amy Hennig, who helped create Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, is today over at Visceral Games working on a now-not-so-secret Star Wars title. What exactly it is and has us doing remains clouded by the Darkside of corporate marketing.
Actor Nolan North seems to have smuggled out some plans. He said at Metrocon 2015 that this new Star Wars is ”in the style of Uncharted,” clarifying that it’s not a revival of Star Wars 1313.
Apparently it’s ”along the same lines” though of the tragically cancelled bounty hunter focused adventure, which had us travelling down deep into the bowels of Coruscant to level 1313. Amy Hennig is a notable video game writer and left Naughty Dog in April 2014. North reveals about 8 months of work on Uncharted 4 was thrown away.
”If you’re a big fan of Amy Hennig and her styles of story: the big thing about her is that she’s gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted,” North told a panel at Metrocon 2015.
”And I happen to know a lot about it,” he continued, ”and it’s gonna be awesome.”
”Star Wars 1313: I actually did the first mocap tests for that,” revealed the actor.
When we’ll get to hear about this new Star Wars title is unknown but it’s unlikely any time before Star Wars: Battlefront so as not to divert attention. Will it be a rough and tumble action adventure as a bounty hunter like in 1313, or will the Force take center stage again?
