Yesterday, Red Barrels promised to announce a mysterious new game, but the announcement itself was no surprise: it was the sequel to their critically praised horror game, Outlast.
Outlast 2 is apparently going to be a morally ambiguous game, as ”victors get to decide who was right and who was wrong. Who is good and who is evil. Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come.”
The developer released a teaser, but it featured only a gravel-voiced narrator and a burning cross. Outlast 2 will be arriving sometime in Fall 2016.
