Former Rockstar employee who was the producer of Grand Theft Auto V Danny Ross strongly hinted in a Reddit AMA that the studio was working on the sequel to Red Dead Redemption.
When one user demanded, ”Hey Danny, long time/first time…f— this O&A (sic) nonsense and lets get to some real news. WTF does Rockstar have on deck?”, his response was ”Really? Dumbass. Really? Two.”
Checking the initials of his statement: R.D.R. 2, which would be Red Dead Redemption 2.
The original Red Dead Redemption never received a PC release, so it’s questionable of whether a sequel would, too. However, if a sequel was released on PC, it stands to reason the original would also be ported to PC so that PC gamers who missed out can live out the original story before moving on to a new one. Of course, the first Red Dead Redemption itself is a sequel, to Red Dead Revolver. That game never got a PC release either.
As far as rumors go, this one is plausible; there’s little chance Rockstar wouldn’t follow up on a best-selling hit. Stay tuned.
