Harebrained Schemes may be busy with their remake of Battletech, but they haven’t forgotten the fans of Shadowrun, and have announced a new free update that will not only include developer commentary, but an expansion with over 5 hours of gameplay.
In the Facebook post, the developer wrote, ”Almost ready to go back to Hong Kong? We’re adding 5+ hours of gameplay and a Dev Audio Commentary! (Same low price, lots more content! And updated free to everyone who already has the game!)”
Shadowrun: Hong Kong was the second Kickstarter that Harebrained Schemes ran for a Shadowrun-licensed game. Their first game, Shadowrun Returns, earned above-average reviews from both fans and critics. Shadowrun: Hong Kong received higher praise for being more nuanced and having a far more interesting look to it.
The previous patch, version 3.0.8, was released last November 2015 and was more of a traditional bug-fixing update.
