Capcom Community Manager, Neidel “Haunts” Crisan has responded to several complaints relating to Street Fighter V.
The first complaint is related to the release of Ibuki. Ibuki was supposed to be released in May, as Capcom promised to release one character each month after the Street Fighter 5 launched. This particular complaint has been annoying specifically to Season Pass owners who have basically received one thing (a stage) since launch. The characters who have been released so far (Alex and Guile) have been available to everyone as Capcom have not put up their store yet. According to Haunts, Capcom had planned to release Ibuki in the last week of May, but ”in order to provide the best experience possible for players” they’ve delayed her to coincide with the release of the Cinematic Story Mode.
The second complaint is directed at the reports of input delay on the PS4 version of Street Fighter 5. Capcom have acknowledged the complaints of input delay but they have nothing to comment on just yet. Professional Street Fighter players are starting to notice the eight frames of lag in competitive play, specifically PC players who are forced to play on the PS4 version of the game. The PC version of Street Fighter 5 only has four frames of lag with V-Sync turned off, unfortunately you cannot turn of V-Sync on the PS4 version of the game.
Finally, the last complaint is about the rage quitting issue. Two months ago, Capcom tried to address the rage quitting issue by punishing players who disconnect twice in ranked matches over an hour. This was clearly not an ideal solution, but Haunts says this solution cut down the number of rage quitting by ”roughly sixty percent”. Capcom plan on addressing this problem to ensure this number rises even further.
