Konami has announced that they will be releasing a free-to-play version of their soccer title Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, which will include an Exhibition Mode complete with the choice of seven teams including Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil and France. It will also have the full Training section and myClub feature.
myClub is a major part of Konami’s monetization for the game, which has players earning or purchasing in-game coins to buy card packs to augment their teams, which can be sent to play against other players’ squads in both exhibition and tournament play.
”The myClub rosters and stats are also updated on a weekly basis. More competitions, events and campaigns are constantly added, with players choosing their manager, recruiting coaches, developing playing styles and building a long-term strategy based on their specific aims.” said the publisher in a press release sent to GameWatcher.
Furthermore, the free-to-play version of the game will share all future gameplay and content updates throughout the entire PES 2016 season. ”Updating automatically ensuring rosters are up to date and that PES 2016’s many stars are aligned to the form of their real-life counterparts,” according to Konami’s press rep.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 was released back on the 16th September, 2016 for PC and consoles.
