This is a story about Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s a story where we’re all going to read between the lines and come up with a justification for why Red Dead Redemption 2 exists. It doesn’t actually exist–not officially, anyway. (But it totally exists.) But hey, Take Two says Rockstar is doing something. What else could it be?
Take Two is the parent publisher for both Rockstar and 2K Games, and it seems between both labels we’re getting games from beloved franchises as well as some new IPs. CEO Strauss Zelnick also mentioned strong growth for fiscal 2018, which runs April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. It’s reasonably to expect something major in that timeframe.
From the tactical to the action-packed, we’ve got it all covered with our list of the best shooters on PC!
Zelnick also addressed Battleborn’s middling performance, saying its sales were below expectations. However, he added “We think there remains an opportunity to grow the audience for this unique experience over time and 2K will continue to drive engagement and recurrent consumer spending on the title through add-on content and virtual currency.”
Whether or not Battleborn will get back on its feet is still up in the air, but what’s certain is that the unknown Rockstar game is totally Red Dead Redemption 2. I mean, obviously, right? It’s been teased and rumored for far too long now. (Thanks to DualShockers and Eurogamer.)
