With Fable Legends canceled, and it looked like Lionhead would ride off into the sunset alongside it. But now it seems that maybe neither of those things are happening.
MCV received reports from within Lionhead today that studio staff are being surveyed about whether or not they want to continue development on Legends. MCV says that while most of the project’s freelancers have already left, those on contracts are still employed. One source suggested that development might continue as an independent studio.
Fable Legends looked alright, but it certainly wasn’t the return-to-form classic that fans might hope for to bring Lionhead back. The studio Peter Molyneux built was responsible for Black & White, the Fable series, and the Movies.
