The Division had a closed beta that wrapped up pretty recently, and it sounds like despite some unfortunate issues, people enjoyed it. Well, guess what! You get the chance to play in an open beta soon!
Ubisoft announced today that the open-world shooter/RPG will be open to the public from February 19-21 for PC and PS4 players. Xbox One owners get in a day early, the lucky dogs.
On top of the content included in the closed beta, this round will let you access an additional story mission. Plus, players who participate will get an unspecified in-game reward in the final product.
This is still better called an extended demo than a beta, but I’m obviously on the losing end of that battle. The Division is drawing some favorable comparisons to Destiny–hopefully it won’t suffer that game’s content and variety problems.
The Division releases on PC and consoles March 8.
