While it doesn’t have a truly ridiculous number of direct film and game adaptations, there are few pieces of culture so thoroughly ingrained into modern media as Alice in Wonderland. It speaks so eloquently to the modern youth! Now, Alice VR is looking to take Lewis Carroll’s psychedelic classic and bring it to a sci-fi setting.
Awoken from cryogenic sleep by a shipboard AI when your fuel runs dry, you’re forced into an emergency landing on an alien planet and left to figure out a way to power your journey back home. The choices you make in the VR title will shape the planet as you investigate it and solve puzzles on its surface.

Those puzzles are the game’s primary connection to the story it takes its title from, having you solve the mysteries of its wild world, and even taking you on a few walks along floors and ceilings. The mysterious planet was once the home of a great mining colony, and figuring out what became of its now-missing inhabitants will be the only way to make it home again.
Alice VR will launch for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and OSVR this October.
