THQ Nordic have released a new character-centric video for their upcoming real-time tactics RPG: The Dwarves which is set to release on December 1st. The video centres around the character of Boindil Twoblade, a quick and ferocious fighter that is extremely agile and outpaces both his allies and his opponents in battle.
The Dwarves is a fantasy role-playing game with tactically challenging real-time battles. There will be a total of 15 playable heroes, each with individual skills and you’ll be set to take on numerous foes including orcs, ogres, älfs, bögnilim, zombies, dark mages and more.
Based on the bestselling novel “The Dwarves” by Markus Heitz, the story focuses around the central character of Tungdil. Boindil Twoblade is one of Tungdil’s most loyal companions and the video shows off some of Boindil’s combat abilities. The blade storm and leap abilities looks particularly impressive to use.
The video hints at some promising gameplay from The Dwarves. Little is known about the story but we do know the game is narratively driven. If the game can execute a solid story with the nice looking gameplay we may be in for a Dwarf filled good time with this game.
