Last August, Microsoft stated they hadn’t ”ruled out” a PC version of their heavily hyped Xbox One exclusive time-twisting game Quantum Break, which was developed by Alan Wake developer Remedy. Months later, Microsoft has confirmed today it will be coming to Windows 10 on 5th April.
The news was revealed during a press trip to the Finnish-based developer. However, Remedy did not clarify whether it would be developing the PC version or if porting duties would be handed off to an external developer. Intriguingly, Quantum Break will be bundled with Remedy’s smash hit Alan Wake. However, again, there is no word on whether the same will be true of the PC version of the game.
Quantum Break is one of a few major titles that Microsoft has officially announced for PC and Xbox One, like Fable Legends and ReCore, or has been teased by the publisher, such as Gears of War 4, Scalebound and Crackdown 3.
For those not familiar with the game, Quantum Break is an action title that deals with the manipulation of time, and the ethics of exploiting its use for personal gain. The game was first announced a few years ago at E3 during the Xbox One reveal.
