NCsoft have announced that a pair of double-elimination tournaments will be held for the Blade & Soul competitive community. NCSOFT have helped to sponsor the pair of double-elimination tournaments in both North America and Europe, run by popular Esports teams Imperial (NA) and Legion (EU). The semi-finals and grand finals of this community tournament will be broadcast live on the official NCSOFT Twitch channel and via the in-game Blade & Soul TV.
Community & Social Director Omeed Dariani said “We’ve been thrilled with the level of enthusiasm the community has had for Blade & Soul PvP since we’ve launched.” he also went on to talk about the spectator mode “Because of the way Blade & Soul is built, it required a big effort to decouple the spectator features from the powerful development tools we use to create and run the game. Now, tournament organizers will have access to a tool that will make broadcasting competitive Blade & Soul easier than it’s ever been before, and we’re going to continue to collect feedback and refine the feature as we go.”
NCSoft seem committed to expanding their support for their competitive community and are working to give tournament holders the tools they need. Registration sign-ups for the two tournaments begin on October 13th with the qualifiers launching a few days after.
