E3 is upon us! The Electronic Entertainment Expo has infiltrated the Los Angeles Convention Center, filling its halls with the latest and greatest games all the big publishers want you to know about. GameWatcher will be on hand to report the biggest news and give you hands-on coverage of the show’s top games. The show floor doesn’t officially open until Tuesday, but most of the big news will be revealed through the press conferences scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
While Microsoft will focus primarily on the Xbox, their most recent PC initiative means that most of the titles they’re showing off should be multiplatform, giving PC fans a strong reason to tune in. The latest entries in Microsoft’s big franchises including Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, and Crackdown 3 will be the center points of the show, and a new Forza title is all but inevitable. The old school Rare fan in me is also very excited to see what’s up with Sea of Thieves.
In addition to those titles, Microsoft’s aggressive publishing partnerships with third-party developers will likely give us new looks at Keiji Iniafune’s ReCore and Platinum Games’ Scalebound, along with the thoroughly leaked reveal of Dead Rising 4. Cuphead made a strong showing for Xbox’s indie games division, and you should expect surprises in that vein. There are unconfirmed rumblings in particular of a new sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest.
It’s an excellent lineup for Xbox One owners, and the cross-platform push means that most of those titles should be coming to PC as well. You’ll be able to watch the Microsoft conference through the embed below Monday at 9:30AM Pacific, 5:30PM BST.
