The lucky guys at IGN got to livestream Hangar 13’s latest game: Mafia 3. Hangar 13 did mention that those feeling upset over the tragedy that occurred in Orlando may not want to watch the footage, which is completely fair considering everything that has happened recently.
IGN’s stream showed off a lot of gameplay footage, including driving and regular on-foot gameplay. The linked video starts showing gameplay at around the nineteen-minute mark, so you don’t have to sit through the IGN presenters or the developers speaking if you don’t have the time.
It seems you are able to choose exactly how you want to tackle each mission, whether it be a stealthy approach or you can simply go in all guns blazing. Once you take over a territory, you can choose one of your underboss allies to take control of it for you.
In Mafia 3 you play as Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran who plans to start a new life as the boss of a criminal empire. Lincoln is extremely protective of those that he calls his family as a result of him losing his family twice. The first time was when the orphanage he stayed in as a child closed down, and the second was when the Italian mafia murdered his friends.
Mafia 3 is scheduled for release on October 7th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
