Frogwares were pretty close to releasing its 8th entry in the long running Sherlock Holmes investigation adventure series, with The Devil’s Daughter set to be released on the 27th May for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately we can confirm today that Frogwares has decided to delay the game to 10th June, 2016.
The delay was revealed by a gameplay trailer, which can be found here. Frogwares later confirmed the delay in a statement sent to GameWatcher:
“we’d like to confirm the release date of all versions of the game has now been moved to June 10th 2016.”
The Devil’s Daughter is set in the streets of Victorian London and follows five cases written in the tradition of Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels. Each case is expected to last at least three – four hours, with deductions and choices affecting how the game ends.
Emma Matthews recently got the chance to go hands-on with Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, with her impressions available to view in our preview.
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will release for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the 10th June, 2016.
