It's no surprised to hear many people bought this year's Call of Duty purely for the Modern Warfare Remastered title bundled in the more expensive 'Legacy' edition. But what happens when network error codes get in the way of some users being able to play last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops III online? Forum hysteria!
So if you've come across 'Error Code 32770' over the weekend on either Black Ops III, Infinite Warfare or Modern Warfare Remastered, you're not the only one. The Call of Duty forums have a number of posts about the subject right now with theories like 'Only one person can play CoD on a shared router' to 'Hardware into a Mac'. The first is nonsense, the second is a little unorthodox.
As the weekend went by with no clear fix, the threads grew longer and longer. Some users even opted to redownload the incredibly large game to some success - but this isn't an option available to many. Nor should it be needed.
So what's going on? Well, the idea was to catch Activision's attention and pray to the 'CoD Gods' for a timely fix. While it's unclear if their prayers were answered, eventually the support site made note of the rapidly declining playerbase (presumably down to the error code issues) and set out to find the root cause.
After a short test, the site then concluded the investigation before quickly u-turning on the decision and getting back to work. You can check the status yourself, but as of the time of writing, the problem is still rife.
We're going to have to wait this one out. A hardwired connection might be your best bet, but patience is key right now. Why not sift through our Black Ops III mod database in the meantime? Those are new. They work, too.
