Stellaris, the latest from the grand strategy masters at Paradox, is a hotly anticipated title among strategy fans, and a new trailer is offering an epic overview of the game’s scope and scale ahead of its May 9 release date.
Stellaris is will feature procedurally generated galaxies to explore, a wide variety of alien races to interact with, and customizable ships with which to build your fleet. 32-player online means that you’ll have the chance for epic adventures even after thwarting the game’s AI.
It’s too early to say for sure, but Stellaris is a promising candidate to be one of the Best Strategy Games on PC.
The game’s latest developer diary got into details on factions and elections, which will be a major concern for larger empires. Disparate groups under your regime will have different wants and needs, and elect different types of leaders to regional government, making it all the more difficult to keep all your citizens focused on a common ideal.
The more we see of Stellaris, the more promising it becomes. Even as someone who’s never gotten deep into grand strategy, I’ve found myself greatly anticipating its release, which is already less than a month from now.
