It might be 9am on a Thursday morning, but when isn't a good time for a relaxing base jump into a colourful meadow? 2 minutes of this Worlds Adrift trailer and you'll be back to sleep.
Actually, make it one minute. One minute you're in ambient bliss, the next you're fighting for your life. World's Adrift is quite different to Bossa Studios' other titles, but it's no less charming in its own right.
Though it was recently delayed into the new year, it hasn't stopped the development team from putting together the brand-new 'Remnants' trailer to ease the blow. With alpha playtest sessions breaking out every now and then, there's little reason you'll have to wait the full duration to get some hands-on time with Bossa's somewhat tranquil adventure.
What pushed back the ambitious adventure game into the new year? It's an understandable reason.
With Edge calling it "Minecraft for a new generation" you can hazard a guess as to what Worlds Adrift is all about - survival. Not in the same sense as ARC or Rust, it's more about enjoying the picturesque environments of the floating islands and exploring them to your leisure before you're left fending for your life either in the air or on the ground.
Take a look and see what you think. Register for the next playtest session here, if you wish.
