Electronic Arts has announced on the official “On the House” page that the next game to be given away for free will be 2004’s acclaimed shooter Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
Pacific Assault, as the title implies, puts players in the role of US Marine Tommy Conlin, a fresh-faced youngster who ends up fighting in some of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the notorious Pacific Ocean theater waged between the US and Japan, from Gaudalcanal and Tarawa to Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
GameWatcher reviewed Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, giving it an 8.0/10 score. ”Tense missions, difficult enemies and effective weapons, all that is missing is you, to control your marine in the crucible of combat. If you like shooters, by all means, pick this one up, the Corps are always looking for a few good men.” wrote reviewer Chris Stavros.
The date when the game will go free-to-play has not been announced yet; the On the House page only lists it as “Coming Soon” for now.
