Interested in the latest Hearts of Iron game? You will definitely want to check out the latest developer diary where the developers analyse part of their game in detail. This developer diary focuses on the three types of combat in the game: naval, land and air combat.
Personally, I’ve never played the Hearts of Iron games before but this video makes the series look incredibly interesting. The developer’s passion for the series really comes across in this video as they speak about what it’ll take to succeed on the battlefield.
“Both air and navy are only there to support the ground guys. You can’t win the war with just air or navy, you still need to fight land wars.” says Dan Lind, lead designer at Paradox. “With a new and improved battleplan system, you will be able to direct sweeping movements of troops through steppes, deserts and jungles. Area and mission based systems take the micromanagement out of naval and air combat.”
Again, even if you aren’t a fan of these games, I would recommend watching the video anyway. It’s nice to see developers talk about their games that they genuinely love. Check it out at the bottom of this article.
