Never had the chance to experience System Shock when it first released back in 1994? NightDive Studios are giving you the ability to help fund a remastered version of the game.
System Shock fans have a lot to look forward to. It was only a few months ago that Warren Spector revealed he would be working with the team that are creating System Shock 3, and now players can look forward to a remastered edition of the 1994 classic – System Shock.
As of right now, NightDive Studios have not released any information about the Kickstarter campaign except for the date it launches – June 29th. There aren’t any details on the funding goal, what the money will be used towards or any of the rewards backers can expect.
Last year we saw the release of System Shock: Enhanced Edition, however we must stress that the Remastered version is different! The Enhanced Edition was basically the original version of the game with the added functionality of being able to play it on the latest operating systems. System Shock: Remastered will be created using the Unity engine. We’ve included a video showing off what the game will look like at the bottom of this article.
You can check out the official System Shock Remastered Edition website for more details on the game.
