Ubisoft are looking into punishing those who used the Falcon Lost exploit

A bug was found in The Division last Friday that allowed players to farm the ‘Falcon Lost’ incursion weekly mission reward. As a result of this exploit, Ubisoft applied a hotfix that stopped both legitimate players and players using the exploit from earning the weekly mission reward. A Ubisoft community manager has stated that the developers are looking into punishments for those exploit users.

Natchai_Ubisoft, the community manager on the Ubisoft forum, had this to say:

“We are working on fixing the exploit. Obviously it is against our Code of Conduct and the team is looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited.”

This hotfix caused quite the controversy online. Forum posters accused Massive Entertainment of punishing legitimate players who had not exploited the bug, as opposed to the developers actually fixing their game.
