We’ve actually lost count of how many times Constructor HD has been delayed, as again System 3’s decided to push it back from Summer 2016, with a new release date now set for January 2017.
Let’s hope that this time dodgy union workers and underhanded hippy squatting are back on the agenda, as much of the development team from the original have reunited to develop Constructor HD for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
System 3 boss Mark Cale says that “the game has the ability to finally unlock the potential for strategy games on consoles”, with it also being one of the most requested games to bring back for modern platforms.

Back in April the developers said that multiplayer support might not be provided on release, as it was set to be launched in the summer and this was too soon, but perhaps this delay will allow it to include multiplayer on launch.
“The original game never had online multiplayer and we know that this is essential for today’s market,” read the statement from System 3 back in April. “Online multi player is being worked on but the game may be released without it day one and then given as an update shortly after release.”
Hopefully this will give them enough time to implement multiplayer on launch, but we’ll get in contact with them to see if that’s the case.
