Blizzard has revealed two more characters for their MOBA Heroes of the Storm. Both heroes are from the Diablo series, including Li Ming the Wizard from Diablo 3 and Xul the Necromancer from Diablo 2.
Li Ming comes with three daring offensive spells as skills. The first is the Magic Missile. According to game director Dustin Browder in an interview following the characters’ reveal, ”The Magic Missile build is good against teams of mixed compositions, or if you’re on a battleground where you’re not sure where you’ll be fighting.” The Arcane Orb allows her to “poke” enemies far away without putting herself in danger. The Teleport skill has her popping into a group of enemies and doing a massive amount of damage in a certain radius; a very risky trick since the Wizard doesn’t have a whole lot of health.
Xul, on the other hand, gets a little help from his (resurrected) friends. Bone Prison allows him to trap enemies, while he can also resurrect four dead creatures to be skeleton warrior thralls. He is also a character that was requested by fans. ”We thought it would be fun to make a guy who can summon skeletons, can curse enemies, and really get that Necromancer vibe from Diablo 2,” related Browder.
Neither character is available yet, but they will be joining other existing Diablo playable characters including Tyrael and Diablo himself.
