If you’re one of those that like to make sure you get to play your games on day one and you’ve already purchased Forza Horizon 3 there is some good news for you. The pre-load for Forza Horizon 3 is currently available. And while the 50 GB download is available through the Window’s 10 Store you won’t be able to download your Nvidia or AMD drivers until tomorrow.
The game will support 4K and various driving peripherals, which is quite possibly why the Windows 10 version will be about 10GB larger than the Xbox version. So make sure you plan for enough time to finish the download. The Standard and Deluxe Editions are listed as available on September 27th while the Ultimate Edition is currently listed as September 23rd. While an Xbox demo is currently available the PC version does not yet have a demo version for anyone to pick up.
Critical response to the game is so far positive. Many sites giving the game a minimum of 8/10 or 4/5. And though the PC doesn’t have a demo we have been told the PC specs required to run the game well. Requiring an i7-3820 and at least a GTX 970 nearly any serious and hardcore PC gamer should hopefully be able to run the game well.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that if you want both the PC and the Xbox version you only need to purchase one as buying the digital Xbox version will get you the PC version for free.
