Those harboring a Cockney accent don't seem to be having the best of luck lately. After being stripped of their town - and their own humanity - in Bloodborne last year, they're succumbing to a new fate in Vampyr's 'Darkness Within' trailer.
In a perplexing stroke of contrast, this dark, harrowing take on Victorian-era London comes courtesy of Dontnod - the very same folks behind last year's teen-trouble Game of the Year 'Life is Strange'.
Arriving sometime in 2017, the idea of the game revolves around controlling Jonathan Reid - a physician trying to come to terms with his undead state. Unlike their last game, however, this story-based role-playing game will focus on the active use of both weaponry and your diplomatic ability to talk your way out - or into - situations.

Being of a vampiric nature, you'll be relying on the blood of your victims to make you stronger. However, in keeping to Jonathan's more human-based roots, it will be entirely possible to complete the game without sapping the life out of another being. With a dynamic London setting reacting to the health of its citizens, you'll gradually notice the city changing as you make decisions to end or spare the lives of those necessary to keeping blood running through your own veins.
Communication is key. Always talk to your doctor. Unless they're a vampire. You can usually deduce that by their unorthodox methods of running blood tests.
