It may be hard to believe, but those rapid waves of simulator titles often found in supermarket bargain bins actually have a very well-established audience. Euro Truck Simulator may be a household name among the PC community, but Farming Simulator 17 has broken its own record by selling more than one million copies in under a month.
Also available on home consoles, it took around 4 weeks for GIANTS Software's newest field-tilling title to reach the monumental milestone. For contrast, their last attempt sold 3 million over a 24 month period.
Even achieving over 90% positive reviews on Steam, it has since become one of the platforms most played titles selling over 220,000 on the popular marketplace. Germany, Scandinavia and France were full of eager farming hopefully looking to get their fix, as the title peaked at number one in Germany's in-store sales chart.

Speaking of the achievement, Thomas Frey, Creative Director at GIANTS Software said "Farming Simulator was always a game for fans, but with Farming Simulator 17 it has expanded into a whole new experience for a wide audience, who needed to be offered new things in video games. Existing fans of the series are already impressed by the improvements and its amazing content. As for newcomers to the series, they discover a really addictive and rewarding title,"
Though it released on less platforms than its predecessor, Farming Simulator 17 has certainly exceeded its expectations. If the below trailer gets you hooked like over 1 million others, there's plenty of Black Friday sales going on.
