Inner Chains is a horror first person shooter currently on Kickstarter. Developer Telepaths Tree describes the game as ”a surreal, dark and deadly biomechanical world which resembles nothing you have ever encountered.” To illustrate the mood of the game, the developer has released a new update showing off some of the unique weapons.
It isn’t so much the weapon functions themselves that make them unique, it’s the design. For example, the ElectroGun, which basically throws lightning strikes at opponents, can be upgraded to chain lightning. The look of it is pretty organic too.
If the organic theme isn’t obvious enough, the other two weapons - the Flamethrower and the BoneGun - show off even more heavy metal coolness. The developers note that players ”use their FlameThrower not only as an offensive weapon but quite often as a defensive one.”
The BoneGun, however, is dangerous to its wielder as well as its targets. ”BoneGun is probably the most unique of them all, as its ammo was formed thanks to the crystallization of some natural ingredients. Ingredients that are naturally present in all living beings. Including yourself. So be careful while using a gun, that feeds on them.” It can become a traditional rifle or feature continuous fire with the right upgrades.
Inner Chains has two weeks left on its Kickstarter campaign, and is expected to launch in Q2 2016.
