Activision has finally unveiled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. It is developed by Platinum Games, which is best known for such titles as Bayonetta and Transformers: Devastation. The game was leaked by various ratings boards back in December.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is directly inspired by the famed animated show that debuted in 1987, with the classic designs of the Turtles, Bebop, Rocksteady, Shredder, and the Foot Clan, among other unannounced enemies and bosses. The game ”features gorgeous, cel-shaded art design, with an original story from prolific author of IDW Publishing’s acclaimed ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, Tom Waltz,” according to the press release.
As for the actual gameplay, ”players will protect The Big Apple from aliens, mutants and the Foot Clan in a single-player campaign or partner with up to three friends in four-player online co-op.” If Platinum’s previous adaptation of Transformers is any indication, the game will be faithful to the original series, with slick, fast-paced action.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan will be available for PC and every console platform this coming Summer.
