Well, this is unexpected. Not the development of Battlefield 5, which is a foregone conclusion, especially since last December EA Dice development director Dan Vaderlind stated the studio had moved on to the next edition of the series.
No, the unexpected part is that German retailer World of Games has listed the game as a shooter set in World War I.
The listing was captured by a member of NeoGAF, which reads ” ‘Mehrspieler Taktik Shooter im 1. Weltkrieg’.” Translated: ”Multiplayer tactical shooter from World War 1.”
The problem with this rumor is that the leaked title of the next game is Battlefield 5: Armageddon, though at the time many felt The War To End All Wars was a sign of the apocalypse.
