League of Legends to a running start in the early stages of 2016. Amid the massive amount of reworks the game is getting for 2016, one might even forget the events that we’ve become accustomed to Riot Games providing. The annual Lunar Revel is upon us and to make things even sweeter, our old pal Shen got a rework.
This year’s Lunar Revel has just been announced over on the Riot website along with a trailer giving a nice little presentation to the new skins added in celebration of the event: Lunar Wraith Caitlyn, Lunar Wraith Morgana, and Radiant Wukong. These skins are available in the in-game store for 1350 Riot Points a piece for a limited time. In addition, there are new icons, ward skins, and champion bundles featured during the event.
Shen has been around for a long, long time in the League of Legends universe, so it’s refreshing to see one of the premier damage sponges of the game get some love. In this update, Shen gets a new seperate entity Ki Blade which follows him around and acts as an amplifier and crowd control device, sort of like Orianna’s ball. Shen will keep a lot of the things that made him great, like his taunt and teleportation/buff ultimate, but he’ll get a new character model to go along with his new set.
Lunar Revel lasts until February 8 and you can see the list of Shen’s new changes over on the update page.
