id Software has released another video showing off some different aspects of DOOM’s gameplay. While previous videos revealed some of the multiplayer modes and maps, this one gives players a taste of the power-ups that will be featured in the reboot.
”Along with the newly playable demons, combatants can also grab hold of devastating power weapons and unique power-ups that enhance the intensely fun multiplayer mayhem” said the developer.
The video shows off two of the demon forms the player can transform into, The Baron of Hell, who enjoys biting the heads off other players, and the Prowler, who has quicker, more stealthy attacks than the brutish Baron.
No DOOM game would be complete without power weapons, and the video shows off the Chainsaw, the Gauss Cannon, and the iconic BFG. Of course, the power ups include the classic DOOM staples like Quad Damage and Invisibility. (Heck, players can even rip demon jaws apart as a devastating melee attack.)
DOOM is due to be released on PC and console this coming May 13th, 2016.
