Marvel Heroes has been an interesting free-to-play action-MMORPG, constantly updating and evolving over the past few years. Today, the 2016 update is now available, and it has the most changes seen in the game yet.
First off, the 2016 update brings Marvel’s major crossover event of 2008, Secret Invasion, which ran from April to December that year. It dealt with the Skrull shapeshifters, who infiltrated Earth by creating doppelgangers of the superheroes. A Fortune Card themed to the new chapter will also be available.
Several of the characters have been revamped as well, especially Deadpool, which is In time for the upcoming film starring the fourth-wall busting wisecracker. He’ll be getting new animations and effects, nine new moves for his power set, and an alternate Zen costume. Black Cat will be playable, and is being voiced by Female Shepard herself, Jennifer Hale. The Flash Thompson version of Venom will also be available as a sidekick.
All characters will be getting a visual update as the year goes along, starting with Captain America, Black Window and Jean Grey, In addition, the game will finally be getting controller support, featuring compatibility with the Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamepads, as well as support for Steam and Logitech controllers. Speaking of Steam, gamers who play off it will be getting 50 new Achievements.
Finally, Gazillion has announced their new season pass for 2016, Advance Pack 3. The bundle, initially discounted at $59.99, will include Elektra, Green Goblin, Nick Fury, Ultron, Black Bolt, Angela and an as-of-yet unnamed superhero. The $79.99 Deluxe version of the pack will also include four new Team-Up Super Heroes available later in 2016, with such pairings as Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan). Purchasers will also get early access to the Iron Spider enhanced costume.
