Metal Gear Solid V was one of my favorite games last year. While it didn’t hit the storytelling heights of its predecessors, it did reach new levels of stealth action excellence, making it perhaps the best-playing game in the series. Now a new Definitive Experience is set to launch, bringing all of the game’s content into a single package.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience will include the Phantom Pain, as well as the formerly standalone prequel, Ground Zeroes. You can also expect a massive load of DLC from across Ground Zeroes, the Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Online. (We probably still won’t see Chapter 3, though. It’s game over, folks.)
The packaged DLC includes the previously platform-exclusive missions for Ground Zeroes, Déjà Vu (featuring a PS1 Solid Snake) and Jamais Vu (featuring the cool, cyborg-ninja version of Raiden). The Phantom Pain add-ons feature a bunch of new weapons and outfits, as do those for Metal Gear Online, which also includes a playable Quiet and some new maps.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience will launch October 11 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
