If you enjoyed the previous beta test for Motiga's 'Gigantic' MMO earlier this month, you'll be glad to know it's almost time to go in for the second round. There's an Open Beta period coming next week.
The same rules apply here as they did before. Going the cross-platform route, it means Gigantic is only accessible through the Windows 10 Store. While many would view this as putting the nail in the coffin for another MOBA trying to enter the market, it's likely down to Microsoft's terms when aiming to share the Xbox One playerbase.
Though what exactly makes next week's test more 'open' the last isn't really known. The previous beta phase simply required users to download a fresh client from the Windows 10 store - in much the same way they will next week. There's even another 'Closed Beta' test starting tomorrow and lasting throughout the rest of week that is accessed in the exact same way. Maybe they just never reach capacity.
Need to read a little more about what Gigantic actually is? We have a few more details over here.
For those unaware, Gigantic is a MOBA title with a slight Evolve-esque twist. Praised for its colourful artstyle, it isn't just regular size characters and constructs duking it out on the battlefield. Users will be able to inhabit far larger beasts to stomp all over the champions running around underfoot. Before they get taken out, of course.
So if you want to get involved in either this week's Closed Beta test or next week's Open Beta test, make sure you're on Windows 10, completely up-to-date with operating system and GPU patches and grab the client through the Windows 10 Store.
