Sticking to its guns, Armello received its v1.6 update at the start of the month. Depending on individual player taste, we'd say the first update mentioned in the announcement post is the one to be the most excited for.
Announcing its release just a week before arrival, it wasn't hard to believe that it would actually land. Likely waiting until everything was signed off and good to go, they gave a little forewarning.
Anyone with Armello still installed after it's late 2015 release will likely have seen it sitting in their Steam Downloads page either yesterday or today. But with its last major patch only landing around 3-4 months before this one - not counting its Holiday update - what can players expect to find in this new year patch? Quite a lot, actually.
First? Skins! The dawn of a new Armello era. Amber, Thane, Mercurio and Sana each gains a new Hero skin with update 3D models, textures, weapons and everything else you'd expect. And they won't be the last. Multiplayer stability reaches a milestone upgrade, the Cat Burlgar card returns to its prototype days of balance shifting, new amulets arrive and Skeeve's Shop now allows for actual in-game purchases rather than sending you back to Steam.
Of course, being a board game, there's always way more detail to delve into with even the slightest change. Head on over to the official announcement to run by those. To celebrate the patch release, Armello is currently sat at 30% off on Steam.
