Have you ever dreamt of chopping down wood outside an old Victorian industrial town? How about flying about said town with a totally fictitious airship? Steam Hammer allows for both if you're not killed by that time.
Slipping into Early Access later this month, Steam Hammer has been given the gift of lengthy trailer complete with soft-rock musical number in the background.
There's no specific date offered through the new footage, but with the develops said to have been targeting a May release last month (tied with the name of the video) we should be expecting it to land relatively soon. Of course, if you're unable to wait, it's still available for a relatively low price through its official website - a purchase that will carry over to the Steam Early Access edition.
Studio Wildcard Will Begin Paying 15 Modders Every Week To Continue Work On Their Creations
Steam Hammer, as we've mentioned in the past, is a hardcore sandbox RPG set in a fairly irregular Steampunk environment. Essentially, it's another Survival game akin to ARK, Rust, Conan Exiles or, more recently, PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds. It's a genre that's been given a lot of attention lately due to the relatively early state of development needed to entice would-be players. Bolt-action rifles, living off the land and flying high above it likely some key elements acting in favor of Steam Hammer right now. Whether it'll resonate with the players, however, will be for the month of May to decide.
Again, if you're looking to get involved a little sooner than expected, you can pick up beta access through this link. Otherwise, give it another week or two and you should hopefully buy into a slightly more fleshed out product.
