Part of Divinity: Original Sin 2's perfect reviews come from a mutual adoration of its GM Mode, allowing endless user-generated D&D-style adventures. But creating is hard. Larian gets it. That's why they've issued a near 40-minute tutorial video to get you started.
Whether you've wrapped up the main story or simply picked it up to give you and your friends that D&D experience without travelling to each other's makeshift dungeons, content creation in any game isn't really a walk in the park.
In Larian Studios' Modding Tutorial video, you're presented with 38 minutes of Kevin walking you through the process of forging your first level. Pointing out that there are already in excess of 500 mods available for Divinity: Original Sin 2 through both Steam Workshop and our own GameWatcher Mod Database, there's plenty to use for inspiration here or download if you can't hack it yourself.

But if you're ready and willing to give it a shot, the developers themselves are willing to show you the ropes. Said to be the first of a series of tutorial videos, there are plenty of links in the video description to other resources and tools to get you started and ready to follow Kevin's tutoring.
You can even find Kevin on the official Larian forums in case you need a little extra guidance. Find some inspiration in the game itself, let Kevin show you how it's done, and craft a level or two you know your friends - or the community at large - will adore. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is going to be around for a long while, and it's always best to get in early.
