Whether you're ready for it or not, the Paragon meta might just be getting slight shake-up with the sudden reveal of Serath - a new character coming to Epic Game's MOBA title in just a few days.
Being revealed yesterday with a release set for January 5, Serath even has her own trailer already. Available for free through the game's usual access requirement, Serath is billed a Carry type hero specializing in melee combat.
On the outside, you'd imagine Serath to be the pinnacle of all that is holy. Wielding a small mace and pulling out the angel wings to gap the distant between herself and her foes, we watch as she pummels them into submission before dimming the lights and showing that she's not quite the angel she appears to be.
Usually shown during hardware demonstations, Paragon is likely a good candidate for the new Nvidia Shield
With the usual allotment of four abilities at her disposal, it's up to the player to decide when to unleash her dark heart. Slow the enemy with a cleaving swing or jump up to avoid enemy snares and slash at each target one by one. If you prefer to divebomb your foes, her Ascend ability allows her to travel a distance and bash the her final point. But if you're looking for prolonged pain, crank up the darkness with Heresy to add a burn and sunder effect to all her skills.
She's about as flashy as a hero can get, and she'll likely be a major pick until people really work out whether she's a viable combatant or not. Paragon is free-to-play for anyone looking to try her out.
