After just a week on the market, Chivarly developers Torn Banner Studios are already working on 'relaunching' their newest title - Mirage: Arcane Warfare.
With 3 years of development under its helm and community testers since this time last year, Mirage launched last week with little fanfare. Kicking off with 10k sales isn't a bad effort, but retaining just 100 concurrent users is cause for concern.
The team of 27 "worked their asses off" to make Mirage happen - adding 10 members to their troupe by the time of launch. With problematic player numbers potentially boiling down to a lack of marketing and a few launch issues, the developer's future plans have ended up on NeoGAF of all places - which involves working with Steam to 're-launch' the game.

But what does this mean, exactly? Details have yet to be passed on, but we can imagine it'll involve promoting Mirage to the Front Page of more people's Steam accounts. Likely those who played a decent amount of Chivalry in the past. Looking at the reception to the forum post, most people either had no idea the game released last week or even knew it existed. There's an evident lack of marketing.Minor bugs have already been patched out with a bigger update planned for mid-June. July will feature the main 'Content Update' with new maps and character abilities.
Essentially boiling down to that of a fantasy approach to the Chiverly meta, Mirage is an intriguing concept. With a major patch still planned and a 'Play with the Devs' event that you can read up about here. There's still 10% off for a good while yet, so jump on that if you're interested.
