It was only a matter of time before the massively popular survival shooter 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' reached another impressive milestone. Having now sold over 20 million copies, it's basically neck-and-neck with its F2P rival Fortnite: Battle Royale.
And how did the PUBG team celebrate the milestone with their players? By properly acknowledging how unhappy that playerbase is with their service.

I know a lot of you are frustrated by issues w/ the game but the team is working hard to deliver a truly great Battle Royale expierence for everyone. Bear with us, change is coming!
As you can see from the tweet embedded above, they're once again asking that players 'bear with us' as they attempt to make the game many were promised months ago. Pushing back plans to release out of Early Access by the end of the yaer, a number of issues have cropped up that have caused the title's once rapid acceleration to slow down.

China Has A Mobile Terminator 2 Branded PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Knockoff - Because China
Already promising to crack down on the rapid influx of cheats and hacks hitting the game, players are mostly sick of Asian territories (like China) playing on EU/US servers because of the adverse effects distance-based latency can have on a match. Other issues include the consistently late climbing/vaulting update that still hasn't gone into public testing, and servers struggling to handle the 2+ million daily peak players.
The team were certainly not expecting this level of popularity at launch, so teething issues should always be expected. Even still, those picking up the title at full-price are individuals who generally only care about their own experience, so disappointment in their purchase can't really be ignored. It's a tricky situation to be in, and one Bluehole can only hope to fix sooner rather than later.
