It's time to party like it's 1996! If you're a 90s kid, adult, squid or other, you'll likely see something of worth in this STRAFE trailer down below.
It's due out later today, so maybe you'll end up spending £15 you didn't plan on when waking up this morning!
Of course, from first look, you'll likely understand where this one's coming from. STRAFE is all about fluid movement, pools of blood and bashing things silly with metal objects. There's a healthy mix of Half-Life and DOOM melded into one here - a little more so than what was already present in both games anyway. Throw Quake in there and you're good to go.

As for the name, players of those classic shooters will know all about the phrase. If you hadn't mastered the art of your QE buttons by the time you decided to jump into some classic LAN action, you were as good as dead. These arena-style shooters are all about performing the most elegant dance around the winding corridors as you dodge enemy bullets. Eventually, someone's going to get hit - but it's dawn of the 'Bunny Hop' made each bout into a strenuous duel of the minds and STRAFE looks like it wants to capture that in all its late-90s glory.
Thankfully, you're not looking at something quite so dated as running Quake on your 4K super computer. While STRAFE encapsulates the aesthetic of a 90s shooter, it does so without having you question how far things have come since. That takes skill - and you can grab it here.
