UPDATE
Paradox Interactive have confirmed that Crusader Kings II: Jade Dragon, the latest expansion for the game that sends players to China to deal with the Empeor, will have a release date of November 16. As we anticipated, the DLC will be priced $14.99/£10.99, putting it along the lines of the game's meatier expansions such as Conclave and Monks & Mystics. The game's website at Paradox Plaza is also available now.
From the press release:
"The Emperor of China is powerful, but not invulnerable. Clever rulers can exploit the Emperor’s occasional generosity to build their own empire, carefully watching the news reports and changes in the Middle Kingdom so that they can best ride out the tides of history. Then, when the moment is right and you are confident in your strength, strike out and seize the Dragon Throne for yourself."
ORIGINAL STORY
Paradox Interactive have announced the latest DLC expansion to Crusader Kings II, Jade Dragon, sending players to China to deal with the Emperor. It's out in the next month or so, and for now there's a video with Game Director Henrik Fahraeus that you can see below. For those short on time we have the details below.

The Best Crusader Kings Mods out there!
Here are all the features coming in the Jade Dragon expansion DLC for Crusader Kings II:
- The Chinese Emperor - interact with the Emperor via the "China Screen”, which lays out his status and desires, letting you keep tabs on what he wants and how to earn Grace - an important resource. You might be able to help with famine,
or maybe he just wants gold, relics, or even concubines.
- Grace - as you earn the Emperor's Grace you can spend it on boons, like diplomatic deals or more advanced requests such as specialists, or even an invasion to take out one of your opponents!
- China Attacks! - either Chinese rebels or, worse, the Emperor himself can decide to expand west. Appease the Empire or request a Peace Treaty, or prepare for a fight.
- Tributary System - submit to the Empire as a tributary, always keeping an eye on the waning power of the Emperor, so you can time your escape to freedom.
- Silk Road - this expanded system adjusts returns based on China’s stability, with wondrous new Chinese artifacts to collect along the way. There are many more paths to the Road, and more disturbances. Keep an eye on the China Screen to see if trade is Open or not. If it goes Isolationist trade will dry up. Just hope they don't go 'Expansionist' or they might attack you.
- Cosmetics - new Chinese or Tibetan portraits, music and more.
- Rally Points - the previously frustrating part of Crusader Kings II, where you had to manually gather up all levies and armies, is being replaced. Rally Points can now be set on provinces so all these rally at a certain point automatically and merge together.
- Tibet - will appear in the next patch alongside Jade Dragon, along with new provinces.
- New Casus Bellis - Yeah. 7 or 8, depending on whether you want to declare war to get your wife back.
There are many other features and more details in the video below, so I recommend giving it a watch anyway. Those are the main features anyway, if you don't want to check out a 6 minute developer chat. It's embedded below.
