Iceberg Interactive have announced that sci-fi 4X strategy game Star in Shadow will finish its early access period on Steam and receive a full launch on January 19th, 2017. During its time in Early Access, the game has been lauded as a great ‘tribute to Masters of Orion’ by the dedicated Steam community. As a result of the positive feedback and praise, developer Ashdar Games is looking forward to fully releasing the title to all fans of the 4x genre on Steam and other digital distribution platforms.
Stars in Shadow is a turn-based 4X science fiction strategy game that allows players to take a faction of their choice to the stars to build an interstellar empire. The game comes with all the traditional mechanics of a classic 4X game but adds its own spin on things by having unique faction mechanics and a vivid 2d art style.
A new trailer has been released to showcase some of the gameplay including the empire management and turn-based combat. We previewed the game upon its early access launch and found it to be a charming 4X with great potential.
Stars in Shadow is set to release January 19th, 2017 on Steam and other digital download platforms at an SRP of $24.99. The game can already be purchased and played in Steam’s Early Access program. Keep an eye out for Review which will be coming soon.
